Boys Varsity Basketball · Blackhawks Take Two Against Trojans

The Westville JV and Varsity both knocked off West Central at home Saturday night. Kenny Pepper led a balanced Westville attack with his second double-double of the weekend, posting 13 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Alec Hannon and Julian Ellis each had 10 points, with Ellis grabbing 5 boards. Trevor Henckel and Gavin Hannon both had 8 points. Hannon handed out 7 assists and Henckel grabbed 7 rebounds. Mark Bohle had 7 points and 7 rebounds. Cody Brooks had 3 points, and Kaden Pepper and Scott Stacy each notched 2 points. The Blackhawks improved to 6-3 on the year with the win.

The JV rallied from a halftime deficit for a 43-29 victory, their first of the year. Josh Wert led Westville with 12 points. Jack Stacy had 10, Chris Bishop 4, Holden Sikora and Scott Stacy each had 3. Brandon Sheeler, Evan Massengill, Andrew Huske, Ryan Bohle and Brandon Grabarczyk all had 2, and Cody Brooks rounded out the scoring with 1.

The Blackhawks are back in action tonight against Washington Township.
